We have seen the recent study from Brazil (abstract in BJSM) show changes in movement in female volleyballers so it will be good to see if this is reproduced in a different patient population and whether different applications (shortened position vs lengthened) will yield different results.

DYNAMIC TAPING AND HIGH FRONTAL PLANE KNEE PROJECTION ANGLE IN FEMALE VOLLEYBALL ATHLETES
/0 Comments/in In the Press, Latest News, Latest Research /by Australia ShopThis paper from Brazil will be presented at the IOC Injury Prevention Conference in March 2017. The abstract has recently been published in the BJSM. The study showed that taping the hip into extension, abduction and external rotation reduced the magnitude of hip adduction in elite female volleyballers who displayed an increase in this motion in the absence of Dynamic Taping. This may have clinical relevance for ACL injuries, lateral hip pain, PFPS and other conditions where this movement pattern has been implicated, is identified on examination and correction of which has a positive outcome.
